This is going to be to the point.
1. Cancon 4 is Oct 21 at Inn on the Lake. 11 to 5. Be there. I got free stuff with purchase this year!
2. If you follow me on facebook, you know that I've been redesigning toys. (I really shouldn't say "redesigning." They're OOAK.) So, I made a blog (which is what you're reading now) to show you what I have for sale. (It's not working yet because I don't have anything to sell.)
3. If you read the last post: Live or Die? You should be aware that my plant is still alive.
That's it. More to come as I have time.

Live or Die?
I do not, I repeat, DO NOT have a green thumb.
Since it's been foooorever that I last posted anything and I lose track of time constantly; I (for some unknown reason) thought it would be good to get a plant. I've killed a cactus just so you know. Now, as I stated before I have no concept of time anymore because of the little bundle of joy I mentioned in the last post, and therefore, I have no idea when I bought this plant. April, maybe. Anyway, I thought it would be good to post a monthly picture on how the plant is doing. This way I'm killing two birds with one stone: I'm keeping a blog alive and possibly killing a plant. Fun times.
So you might be wondering: Jaime, how on earth have you kept a plant alive since April if you're so good at killing a cactus?
Well, Reader, first of all I have a water globe. Er, aqua globe? You know, those colorful glass balls that hold water so the plant can drink out of it... Actually, it just keeps the soil moist. Yes, some leaves are brown. No, it doesn't flower. I believe it's just a variegated ivy. It's not any bigger than when I bought it. I doubt I'll need to change the planter before it dies. Aw, I have such a positive outlook, don't I?
So next is a picture.
Which I don't have yet, so stop scrolling down to see this "plant". I really do have one. I also have a tiny ficus tree but that's almost bare and down in my dining room. (Which isn't a dining room since I took the table out and started calling it a "sitting" room which I never sit in.)
What I should be blabbing on and on about is my new hobby of custom My Little Pony figures. (Yes, I still write. I'm almost done with the reworking of The Lyon's Key, if you recall me mentioning that in the past. But I renamed it since I sort of rewrote the whole thing. It'll be ready and for sale at the October show. I've also been making notebooks I call "Animal Thoughts". And I've started work on two more different stories.)
God, I have no time for all this. I'll post a pic of a dead ivy or a straggling one asap!

I Made It! I mean her... and the book too.
Hello, Everybody! (For some reason I have a cartoon voice in my head when I say that.)
It's been too long, I know. But you can't be mad at me because I had to take personal time for this:
Isn't she adorable? (Like I have to ask.)
So a little back ground on the last eight months. I had planned to get Bright Pulse out to the literary public in February, but I was tired. Lame excuse but it's all I got. April was soooo stressful. May... I was sick, didn't know it, and then induced. May 21st, 6 weeks early, I had a healthy bundle of joy. "Never knew a love like this." (Everyone sing along.)
Then I got back into the writing habit! Between diaper changes, feedings, and sleeping, of course. That left me like an hour a day... there-a-bouts. Now I'm working on my SL project again. If you've read my older posts you know that I have been working on it since roughly last September. I have the first draft of the trilogy done, 90% of the first draft of book two done, and random pieces of book three written. It's coming along good though.
Also, there will be a Comic Con 3! I'm so excited. I have a great time every year. The people are great and so is the all the stuff you can buy! If you're around in October, come. That's a command. Not an option. ;) I'll keep this blog updated on Comic Con info as I get it. For those of you who are interested, anyway. If you're not, well, too bad.
I'm outta here. It's getting late (I'm a mom now, I have to say that) and I'm hungry... Peace!

Another Chapter, Another Book
Busy bee. That is me.
Sorry if you missed me. Hope the holidays were good to you. Mine were great! Thanks for asking! :D
Catch up time. In Sept. I was in a wedding in Ohio. Beautiful ceremony in the woods and quite inspiring. Then Oct. came and I had a birthday. Turned the big 2 - 8. I know, horrible, right? The days passed and rolled into Nov. Ta-Da! My husband and I found out we're pregnant. (I think I'm doing most of the work though.) Welcome Thanksgiving and Christmas. Somewhere in there I had sent my manuscript of Bright Pulse to my editor. Got that back at Christmas. Revised, revised, rechecked, then revised again. And now we're ready for the proof copy! Sent that to the printer tonight. In three days it will be mailed and I should have it early next week. Or late next week. I just better get it.
So here's the synopsis:
BRIGHT PULSE
Shay Beauvalet lived one day at a time, never planning ahead or believing in dreams. After the loss of her father, she distanced herself from others. Love was a luxury better suited for people with more time.
Devin Brandt didn't believe in love. It was overrated, said too often, and a manipulator to gain trust--proven by his father's frequent abandonment. So when Devin's girlfriend dumped him he bought a motorcycle, hoping to impress her.
If it wasn't for a motorcycle, a broken amp, and a notebook, Devin and Shay wouldn't have been drawn together by the intimacy of music. They wouldn't have learned that time is short and that true love never dies.
Keep an eye out in Feb for the release date for Bright Pulse. And if you haven't read Broken Light, start there by clicking on my store.
